Konni’s Story

Quest Royal North 081

I originally created KMH Unlimited LLC. in 2003.  It was created for one reason, to problem solve for my clients that did not involve the brokerage firm I was affiliated with, and yet, was investment related.
With hundreds of requests to provide  financial solutions over the years, KMH Unlimited LLC  has evolved…

This is my story.

Full disclosure; my father was a trader on the CBOE so I grew up around “the floor”.  I have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and have been a competitive “go getter” all my life.  I started riding horses at the age of 6 and competed at the top venues of the show jumping arena for well over a decade.  As a teen I owned and operated my own snow plowing business.  I graduated high school in 3 years and, from there, left home to become the assistant director of a children’s center at a world class ski resort.  Realizing I needed that piece of paper to further any career, I returned home to earn an honors degree in Marketing with a minor in Finance in only 3 years from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

In 1991 my mother passed away unexpectedly.  I left my marriage and Illinois to spend the next two decades traveling throughout the country exercising thoroughbred race horses as I was swept up into the upper echelon of the sport of kings!

In 1999 I joined forces with Oakbrook Investment Brokers Inc to obtain my securities licenses.  With that alliance my passion for clients and investments flourished!  Focusing on raw materials, I became an integral part in breaking escrow and growing what soon became the number one performing index fund in any asset class in the world; the Rogers Raw Materials Funds.  As an independent advisor, I continued traveling to exercise race horses in the early mornings and work with investments in the afternoon.  I became well versed in communication, marketing and PR.  I coordinated efforts with other brokerage firms, administrators and compliance.  I built solid relationships with clients from all walks of life, some of which I still work with today.

2001 brought down the twin towers to change the face of the financial world forever.  I felt a pull and ended up in Saratoga Springs, NY. to work with Morgan Stanley in Albany.  My time with Morgan Stanley was short lived and I rejoined OBIB.  Listening to client requests, I became dual registered with Euro Pacific Capital.  I was now part of the global stage and, literally, a whole world of investment opportunities was at my fingertips.

In 2007 everything that I had been working with seemed to come together.  I was recruited by a Canadian firm to launch another raw materials index fund in the US that was to be headquartered just outside of Chicago.  I was going home! The second raw materials fund never did launch but I had the opportunity to work closely with my father every day, time I would not otherwise have had.  He lost his battle with cancer in 2011 and for the next 7 years I was back on the east coast; horses in the mornings, working with clients and their investments in the afternoons.

It is now 2019 and I am back in the Chicago area.  Watching the investment landscape evolve and the growing need for Investor Relations Specialists, it was a natural next step for me; to make entities and individuals succeed through communication and coordination while maintaining regulatory savvy!  The people and contacts, the unconventional investment opportunities, the pageantry of the sport of kings, the constant evolution to interpret the financial language- Investor Relations IS my passion!

By working with hundreds of requests to provide financial solutions, KMH Unlimited has been refined to combine my passion, connections and expertise to make that difference in your financial future.
